Property Availability Display

Added to several screens in the system, is the overall Property Availability; by displaying the overall Property Availability, it gives the clerk an immediate indication the the property is sold out, even though a Room Type may have availability.  The Property Availability is also being introduced as an integral part of the Overbooking Feature for setting Property Overbooking Limits.

Reservations

In the example below:

  • Current Version Display => the clerk sees that the KNF is available for all dates but upon clicking the Book box => the system warns the clerk that the property is actually overbooked on May 4
  • New Version Display => by having the clerk review the PROPERTY availability first => they can automatically see that the property is already sold out on May 4

Inventory Calendar

  • For Properties not using Overbooking Limits =>the PROPERTY Availability will match the Available sub-total
  • For properties using Overbooking Limits, where the Property Limit is not equal to the Sum of the Room Type Overbooking Limits => the PROPERTY Availability may differ from the Available sub-total (refer to Setting Overbooking Limits for more information)  

Group Block

  • For Properties not using Overbooking Limits =>the PROPERTY Availability will match the Total of Room Type Inventory
  • For properties using Overbooking Limits, where the Property Limit is not equal to the Sum of the Room Type Overbooking Limits => the Property Availability totals may differ from the Available sub-total (refer to Setting Overbooking Limits for more information)  

Wholesaler Block

  • For Properties not using Overbooking Limits =>the PROPERTY Availability will match the Total of Room Type Inventory
  • For properties using Overbooking Limits, where the Property Limit is not equal to the Sum of the Room Type Overbooking Limits => the Property Availability totals may differ from the Available sub-total (refer to Setting Overbooking Limits for more information)
