Credit Card Storage

When adding a Credit Card to a Reservation, the Credit Card will be associated to that reservation.  To facilitate the new way of storing Credit Cards, the "Extra Cards" window has been replaced by the "Credit Cards" window.  This window allows the user to have more infomation about the Credit Card associated to the reservation:

Special Note - Tokenized - this will only apply for properties that have a Credit Card interface where the card is replaced by a "token" from the processor; the token gets created on the first transaction that is sent to the processor (i.e. Reservation Deposit, authorization, or payment)

This information has also been carried over to the Guest Profile area and a new tab dedicated to Credit Card information has been created (previously the Credit Card information was stored on the Extra Info tab).  

  • Note that the first VISA is attached to several reservations
  • Res ID 2993 has both the Visa and MasterCard attached to it

Deleting Credit Cards

Rules for deleting Credit Cards:

  1. Credit Cards deleted from the reservation will still be saved in the Guest Profile area but can then be deleted from Guest Profile as long as other deleting rules are respected
  2. In Guest Profile, you can delete cards that are not attached to any reservation
  3. In Guest Profile, you can delete cards that are attached to Checked Out or Cancelled Reservations only (not In House or future arrival)
