SMS/Email Communication Opt-in

Beginning Tuesday, February 17th 2026 the eRes Online Booking Engine will display a new check-box that allows guests to Opt-in to SMS/Email Communication.

Although this checkbox was originally added for clients using our Fetch Guest Engagement Management integration, it is available to all RoomKeyPMS clients to track guests who consent to email and SMS communications.

When a guest selects this checkbox while creating an eRes reservation, the “Accept General Email/SMS” option in RoomKeyPMS will automatically be checked as well.

NOTE: The “Accept General Email/SMS” field shown below is currently labeled “Accept General Email” in RoomKeyPMS. The field name will be updated to include “/SMS” in our next release (RoomKeyPMS Version 11.0.0.57).

The eRes Online Booking Engine update is being released early for clients using our Fetch Guest Engagement Management integration, as this option must be available on their Booking Engine in order for them to go live.
