RoomKeyPMS & eRes SMS Opt-in

As of Version 11.0.0.57 RoomKeyPMS, properties can easily track SMS opt‑ins from guests. This capability is available directly in the PMS and seamlessly through the eRes Online Booking Engine.

The "Accept SMS" checkbox can also be used when creating reservations directly in RoomKeyPMS.  Checking this box signifies that the guest has opted in to SMS communication from your Property.  NOTE:  This box is unchecked by default when creating a New Reservation.

If "Accept SMS" is checked on the Reservation screen, this option will also appear as checked on the Guest Profile under Operations -> Guest Profile.

An export can be generated to show whether guests have opted in to receive SMS communications. To learn more about using the Guest Export within the Guest Profile Module, please refer to the following training document => Export Function in the Guest Profile Module.

To display the SMS Opt-in option on the eRes Online Booking Engine, proceed to System Configuration -> Property -> Preferences Tab and check "Show SMS Opt-in on eRes Online Booking".

When checked, the below text will appear on the eRes Online Booking Engine. This checkbox is optional and not required to complete a reservation.

However, if this box is checked, a second mandatory checkbox will appear. This checkbox confirms that the guest has read the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy related to opting in to SMS messaging.

If a guest tries to continue with the booking without confirming acceptance of the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, the system will display the message shown below. This prompt appears only when the guest has chosen to opt in to SMS messaging.

Once the eRes reservation is completed, the booking will flow into RoomKeyPMS with the “Accept SMS” checkbox automatically selected. If your property is integrated with RoomKeyPMS and HeyFetch, a notification will be sent to HeyFetch indicating that the guest has opted in to receive SMS communications.
