The following article outlines how to use the Pulse processor portal to search for a transaction. The most common method to search for a transaction is demonstrated using the last 4-digits of the credit card number, but you can also search by cardholder name, date of transaction, transaction Id, etc.
Please note, this function is permission-based; therefore you will need RoomKeyPMS Payments permission 4010, Transaction Search to proceed.
All computers at the property, regardless if they will be using the interface to process credit cards or not, MUST be updated to Version 11.0.0.0 or above.
How to Search for a Transaction in the Pulse Processor Portal
- In the Pulse processor portal, select Transaction Search
- On the Transaction Search page, use the available fields to search for a transaction based on Date Range, Processing Network (aka card-type) and/or the Last 4-Digits of the credit card number
- OPTIONAL: Click the More Filters button to access more search fields including: Account Holder Name, ResID, Transaction ID, Customer ID, Payment Method, Transaction Status, Transaction Date Type and time zone
- Select the Search button
Search results will appear appear as line-items in the table below, sorted by date (newest to oldest).
TIP: click the Transaction ID number to view more details about a specific transaction
