The following article explains how to create a new, blank invoice on a City Ledger Account.
Search for the desired Account
When you first open the City Ledger Module you will be in the Account Listing tab. All the City Ledger Accounts that are Active and have a Balance will display on the screen. Prior to searching for a City Account you may have to adjust search criteria by using the filters located at the bottom of the screen:
- Active/Open - this is the default search, and displays all accounts which are currently open & active
- Closed – select this dial to view all of your closed accounts
- Show Zero Balance Accounts – check this box if you wish to view accounts which have a zero balance
If you have a long list of City Accounts, you can type the name of the City Account into the Go to Account in List (Account Name) field above and the PMS will locate the City Account in the list below.
One you have located the City Ledger Account you can either double click on the City Account in the list to open the account, or click on the City Account in the list and select the View Details button at the top of your screen. Once the City Ledger Account Master is open, proceed to the “Invoices” tab and select the New Invoice button to the right to create a New Invoice.
Create New Invoice
Once the City Ledger Account Master is open, proceed to the Invoices tab and select the New Invoice button to the right to create a New Invoice.
The new invoice will now appear in the Invoices tab. Now the invoice can be renamed, and have charges and payments posted to it.
