In this article we will show how to set a Minimum or Maximum LOS restriction for an existing Rate Plan
Select the Rate you want to Affect
System Configuration -> Rate Wizard. Select the rate where you wish to set a Minimum/Maximum Length of Stay Restriction (ensure it is highlighted in blue) and select the Next button in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
Making changes to the Rate Template/Grid
In the General Tab, the first step, if there are any Room Types that you do NOT wish to be affected by this change, then you must uncheck the Lock a Grid box located to the right of your screen and then uncheck the boxes next to any Room Types that you do not wish to be affected by the change you are about to make. If all Room Types are to be affected, skip this step.
Select your dates for this Change
Next, select the date(s) where you wish to place the Length of Stay Restriction. Check the box next to "LOS" and input the Restrictions you wish to implement. Below we wish to implement a 2 night minimum length of stay so we have placed a 2 in the "Minimum Length of Stay" box.
Select Channels you want to Affect
Uncheck any Rate Types (ie: Direct Hotel/CRS/GDS/Hotel Website) that you do not want this restriction to affect and then select SAVE to save changes.
Confirmation of your Changes
A box will appear confirming that you are making a change to the "LOS" (Length of Stay) area select OK to continue.

A box will appear confirming that you are making a change to the "LOS" (Length of Stay) area select OK to continue.
Check your Work
Next, scroll down to the Rate Calendar to verify the change occurred. Use the Room Type & Rate Type drop down menu to locate an applicable Room Type & Rate Type that was affected by the change. Look at the calendar below and the rate for the date(s) with the Length of Stay Restriction. The Restriction will appear as red numbers located in the top right hand corner of the calendar date.
