In this article we will show how to make an existing Rate Plan inactive as we cannot delete Rate Plans in the PMS.
Select Rate you want to Affect
Rate Plans in RoomKey cannot be deleted, but they can be made inactive. To inactivate a Rate Plan, go to System Configuration -> Rate Wizard and click on the rate you wish to make inactive (ensure it is highlighted in blue).
Remove Channels
To make a Rate Inactive you would remove it from all of your available Rate Types. Proceed to uncheck the boxes next to Direct Hotel, CRS, Hotel Website and GDS.Next, select the Update button in the bottom left hand corner of the screen to save.
Check your work
The Rate will continue to appear in your Rate Wizard, however we can see that it is no longer active on any Rate Types and is therefore not available for booking.If you wanted the Rate Plan to drop to the bottom of the list of Rate Plans you could add the letter "z" or a few "z's " in front of the rate name.
