The Policy Exceptions Report shows reservations made where the policies have been overridden as an exception.
There are two types of Policy Exception Reports:
- Deposit Policy Exceptions
- Cancellation Policy Exceptions
Both will be reviewed in this article.
Deposit Policy Exceptions
Reports > Audits > Policy Exceptions > Deposit Policy Exceptions
If a property's cancellation policy is set up so that a deposit is required at the time of reservation, this report can be used to view a list of reservations that were exempted from this policy by manual overrides during the reservation process.
This report can be run for a specific time period (NOTE: Maximum range for report is 31 days), and is based on the Date In (Arrival Date).
The report includes:
- Res ID
- Date Res (Reservation Date)
- Date In (Arrival Date)
- Nights
- Guest Name
- Source (Source of Business)
- Client Type
- Amount Due
- Paid
When would I use this report?
- This report can be used to review reservations that are excluded from the deposit policy.
Cancellation Policy Exceptions
Reports > Audits > Policy Exceptions > Cancellation Policy Exceptions
If a property's policy is set up so that a charge is placed on any reservation that cancels within a certain time frame (for example: a full nights room & tax will be charged to anyone that cancels with less then 24hrs notice), then this report shows a list of reservations that were exempted from this policy by overrides during the cancellation process. This report can be run for a specific time period (NOTE: Maximum range for report is 31 days) and is based on the Date In (arrival date).
The report includes:
- Res ID
- Date Can (Cancellation Date)
- Date In (Arrival Date)
- Nights
- Guest Name
- Source (Source of Business)
- Client Type
- Amount Due
- Charged
- Deposit Taken
When would I use this report?
- This report can be used to review those reservations that are currently excluded from the cancellation policy.
