Introducing Secure Credit Card Entry – Powered by Fullsteam

We’re thrilled to announce a major enhancement to the RoomKeyPMS experience for RoomKeyPMS Payments Powered by Fullsteam users in both Canada & the US:

Secure Credit Card Entry is here – a powerful new feature designed to make your property’s payment processing safer and smarter than ever before.

What is Secure Credit Card Entry?

This new feature uses Fullsteam’s Hosted Credit Card Form to securely capture guest credit card information. By leveraging a hosted form, RoomKeyPMS will no longer store or process sensitive credit card data, significantly reducing your liability and enhancing protection against data breaches.

How to Activate Secure Credit Card Entry

To take advantage of this new feature, follow these simple steps:

  1. Update all computers to a minimum RoomKeyPMS version of 11.0.0.51
  2. Review the Secure Credit Card Entry Form Documentation to get familiar with the new process
  3. Contact RoomKeyPMS Support to activate the feature for your property:

It is HIGHLY recommended that all properties using RoomKeyPMS Payments Powered by Fullsteam enable the new Secure Credit Card Entry feature as soon as possible.

While activation is currently optional, this feature will become mandatory in the near future. Early adoption ensures your property is ahead of the curve in protecting guest data and reducing liability.

Enhancements/Updates:

SSO Login auto logging out after one hour => it was reported that clerks logged in using their Microsoft SSO credentials were encountering an error message after approximately one hour of activity, which prevented further use of RoomKeyPMS and required the clerk to exit and log back in; the bug causing this issue was identified and has now been resolved.

MIWA Key Card Interface freezing => it was reported that when using the MIWA Key Card Interface, selecting the "Close" button while a key was being created would cause the interface to stop functioning properly; an update has been completed to disable the "Close" button during key creation, and users who wish to exit the Key Card Module before completing a key should now use the "X" located in the top right-hand corner of the screen instead.

Allow refund to process when Gift Card Discount Transaction Code is inactive => an update has been made to the Gift Card Module allowing properties to make the Gift Card Discount Transaction Code inactive, effectively disabling the ability to offer discounts on new gift card purchases, while still ensuring that refunds are processed correctly if the original gift card was purchased at a discounted rate.

ResID column not displaying correct information on Transaction Registry Balance Report  => it was discovered that when the Transaction Register Balance Detail (with Guest Name) report was converted from a Quick Report to a Fast Report in the last release, it no longer displayed the ResIDs correctly for Sundry Sales and City Ledger postings, showing a 0 instead of the actual Transaction IDs; this issue has now been resolved.
