Web-Based RoomKeyPMS - The Journey Continues!
The next part of our web-based RoomKeyPMS journey takes part in the Clerks Module.
The enhanced Clerks Module includes all of the functionality you currently rely on today, while introducing a refreshed, modern interface designed to provide a more streamlined and intuitive user experience.
In addition, a new Clerk Export feature is now available which allows properties to export user and permission information, making it easier to review, audit, and manage user access within RoomKeyPMS.
Now updated on RoomKeyPMS Version 11.0.0.60 and higher!
NOTE: Web-Based Notes and Web-Based Clerks are currently unavailable for MAC users due to a display issue. As a result, these features have been disabled in Version 11.0.0.61. We are actively working on a fix and expect it to be resolved in the next release (Version 11.0.0.62). All other updates mentioned below are available to MAC users in Version 11.0.0.61.
Enhancements/Updates:
BLK numbers updating incorrectly when re-entering CON => Clients who have the option to Display Contracted/Washed Block in the Group Module noted that after a Group Update was completed and they were re-entering their Contracted numbers, that the BLK numbers that were previously entered were updating autonomously. This issue has now been resolved.
Secure Credit Card Entry Form continues to display "Tokenizing Card" after tokenization has failed => when using the Secure Credit Card Entry Form to tokenize a Guest Credit Card, it was noted that if the tokenization failed, the screen continued to display "Tokenizing Card". This issue has now been addressed and the form will now reset, displaying all available fields, allowing the user to attempt a different Credit Card.
Room showing as unavailable when it was available (for properties with Room Number set as a Required Field) => it was reported that even though a Room Number was available, at times, when modifying an existing reservation, it was not showing available to be assigned. An issue was located and a fix has been applied, this issue should no longer occur with this updated version.
Reservation removed from Group Block when email address updated via GDS Integration => a bug was identified where a Group Reservation was removed from its associated Group Block when a guest updated their email address via a properties GDS Integration. This occurred only when the block for the specific room type was fully picked up, causing RoomKeyPMS to remove the reservation from the group and add a note indicating no block holds remained. If inventory was still available, the issue did not occur. This behavior has now been resolved, and reservations will remain linked to their Group Block regardless of pickup or overbooking status.
Restrictions placed on General Ledger Account Receivable status => it has been noted that several properties have recently reported Essential Balancing issues. Investigation determined that these issues were caused by changes to the Receivable status on the following accounts: A/R City, A/R Guest, Deposit Holdings. These three General Ledger accounts, and only these 3, must always remain marked as Receivable in order for RoomKey to maintain proper balance. To help prevent future Essential Balancing issues, the Receivable checkbox will now be restricted from being updated at the property level. If a user attempts to modify this setting, a message will appear advising that the Receivable status cannot be changed. For any further assistance, users are encouraged to contact RoomKeyPMS Support.
Activity Log Duplication => a property reported an issue where duplicate "RKPMS Interface" entries were appearing in the Activity Log when a reservation was updated via an GDS Integration. All the reservations being affected were originally created in RoomKeyPMS and then updated via a GDS. This issue was specifically occurring on reservations whose Rate Amounts had been overridden. What was happening is that RoomKeyPMS was incorrectly inserting a entry displaying the pre-overridden rate and this entry was followed immediately by another entry showing the correct overridden rate. This caused confusion for Front Desk Agents, as it appeared that the reservation may have been updated with an incorrect rate even though it was not. A fix has now been applied and the erroneous Activity Log entry will no longer appear. Only the accurate rate update will be recorded moving forward.
